Jens Vange

Jens excels as a project architect and project manager across a broad spectrum of project types. A major focus of his work is on aviation, with a specialty in airport restroom design. Since 2010, Jens has been responsible for the development and implementation of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport restroom prototype and restroom replacement program (voted “America’s Best Restroom” in 2016 by Cintas). He has led to similar projects at other airports across the country. He has presented findings of equitable and inclusive airport restroom design best practices at several national conferences and in published articles, including three guidebooks for the Airports Cooperative Research Program.

A member of the Alliiance staff since 1996, Jens graduated from the University of Illinois and received a Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota. Dedicated to fostering the growth of others, he leads the mentorship program at Alliiance and frequently counsels university and college students interested in design. He spends his free time writing, taking photographs, and renovating his 1910 cottage-in-the-city.
